When you see a sunset ?? You’re not seeing a live event . The suns rays are refracted through the atmosphere and slow down and bend . They are not traveling at light speed
So when you observe a sunset with your girlfriend or boyfriend lol . You’re seeing an event that is already finished and done by 5 min .
Those sunsets are in the past

I have many more of these posts

You have any idea how much research I have to investigate on these posts

No, but you are wrong about the time factor. It is actually about TWO minutes for both Sunrise and Sunset.

There is a reason why I used the name Sunsettommy, when I went out for a long night of stargazing with the 25" F5 Obsession Telescope and now the 18" F4.5 Telescope, I would be at the site with the sun still above the horizon, set up the Telescope then sit down and watch it sink below...

Wow and you never thought you ever hear a post of that subject

I was an assistant in the Manhattan project and a personal helper to Mr Einstein
You think he was too damn good to not get a little help lol

Depending on the reflection and refraction you might see the suns apparent position two minutes out at sunrise and sunset but...

It takes eight point three minutes for light from the sun to reach the earth.

Therefore the sun actually set about eight minutes prior to your seeing it set because that lights already eight minutes old by the time it hits the earths atmosphere.

*****CHUCKLE*****

No that does not pertain to this post
This is pertained to light already that has penetrated the Earths Atmosphere
I am talking about that refraction time and it’s 5 min

Clearly NOT much 'research.'
You cite none (no links) in these idiotic twice daily SPAMMING snippets.

This your second on what should have been ONE on sunsets.
You're an attention whoring Juvenile spammer, not a serious Sci poster.

There are many science-for-student message boards.
Join one you clown.
Also learn how to cite/source/link your "extensive" research.

As I said, you really show no depth/no discussion to any responses.
You're a "Hey How about this one, the moon is cream cheese!"
and to back that you can never go more than 10 words/one line.

Now back to your home room.

Compare our posts/OPs HERE and in Environment you GOOFBALL.
Yours are for simpletons.
This post alone is longer than anything you can fit in your head/OPs.

You? Junior high is probably closed so you got nothing better to to that post your "amazing" snippets here.
(followed by all one-liners)
The shallowest **** on this message board.
You're a juvenile, or have the brain of one.
