the problem with liberals is that they dont understand that most of President Bush's vacations were working vacations and that the cost was extremely low for the American Taxpayer.

I have no problem with either Bush or Obama going on vacation- I don't even have an issue with Bush spending 3 times as much time on vacation as Obama.

Why doesn't Obama spend his vacation at his Chicago home- perhaps because it is not secure enough by Secret Service standards, perhaps it is not large enough to set up his operations away from the White House- I don't really care.

Like I said- not all Presidents come from wealthy families like the Bush's and have lavish family estates to retreat to.

Show some respect for the office of the presidency people. Regardless of who our currently elected president is being president is a 24/7 job. The responsibilities are immense and the consequences if you make a mistake can be dire. That's a lot of stress and pressure while also being cooped up in the White House like a prisoner.

I'm no fan of Obama far from it but I don't begrudge him or any president the opportunity to get the hell out of DC with family in tow and take some vacation time. As for Martha's Vineyard that whole coastal area in the NE is an awesome place to vacation.
