I recently received a 2 week vacation for something I would vigorously challenge and contest

A very serious accusation was leveled against me and I never got to review the “offense”

At very least showing the transgressor the offensive post would educate them as to where the (imaginary in this case) line was crossed

Thank you

Special thanks to Oddball

I'm still mildly puzzled why mods only get to highlight in red....One never did bother to flesh it out for me even after a two page thread.

Red is reserved for Mods rule?

Then again this site goes hours without moderation at times if you go by "Mods on line".
One flies anonymously.

Mods have used RED since before I was added to the team. It's just the way it's always been. My guess is that the color catches peoples' attention and having it meant for mods only helps with that.

I think Red permits are available for a price.

I wish the forum software would include a "copy" of replies/posts that we remove from view. If we issue a formal warning, the software does that, but just removing replies, it doesn't. We don't have any way of taking a screenshot of what the reply says and pasting it into the field where we give the reason for removal.

Anyway, glad to see you got logged back in. PM me if something comes up that I need to look into.

The Mod could link to the post prior to banishment to Bogeyland

Yes, that is fair. Spell out the offense.

One thing I've always liked about this place is that it is pretty libertarian in terms of allowing people to express themselves, even if it is offensive, as long as it's not obvious that a poster is baiting posters for the purpose of thread-shitting.

I've had that craziness too, but the colour in my op was amended by the mod. Sale close to the wind, try pink and she what happens.
