Here is just one example of how Trump could (and probably will) use tariffs strategically for the US to regain the trade advantage.

BROADCASTING EQUIPMENT.

That happens to be China's number one export. The US also manufactures broadcasting equipment and exports a lot of it. So Trump slaps a 100 percent tariff on Chinese broadcasting equipment which would encourage our businesses to by our broadcasting equipment. We stick it to China, and our businesses and consumers are not affected.

If we don't manufacture an item here...we soon will.

The american consumer has to pay extra for about 2 months...No big deal.

But the American jobs that are created will stay here until another democrat gets elected!

It's almost as though you think China won't enter a price war with the US in regard to the US exports.

Starting a trade war by putting tariffs on something you export is about as dumb as I've come to expect from slack jawed MAGAts.

Good thing you don't care about those companies' exports.

Many of those companies have to pay unfair tariffs from other countries...Trump will eliminate them by raising our tariffs on them until they agree to drop theirs.

That's what Trump has done in the past.

"sticking it" to China is the only goal. That won't happen either. LOL

You didn't understand my post, which is totally not surprising.

No, it's the customers in those countries paying the tariff. More slack jawed MAGAt bullshit.

It's hilarious. They want manufacturing to come back to the US but they don't want to pay union rates.

They want to make the US, China.

But that's not what he campaigned on.

Literally he said stuff that just sounded like a dithering old fool making shit up, because... hey, it was...

Biden put a 100% tariff on Chinese EVs, it's not something new.

How long do you think it takes to build a plant?

China has a $600B or so annual trade surplus with the U.S and have for many years. At this rate each decade the U.S is funding the CCP to fhe tune of $6Trillion plus the residual jobs and taxes that trickle down. China is a pariah in the global economy unfortunately with stacked laws and prejudice against U.S made products. They export to every nation but buy local. There is no reciprocal trade with them while they hack your phone and government servers, influence and con the world (green policies anyone?). There is one.positive in all of this,in a tariff war they lose bigly.

We enact a tariff on equipment. China stops buying our farm products (just like last time). Taxpayers spend billions to bail out farmers (just like last time).
