Steve Bannon Pleads Guilty To "We Build The Wall" Fraud

No Pardon coming from Trump on this one. Bannon was convicted of his felonies in State Court, not Federal, so no Presidential Pardon power exists.
I don't know...biden pushed the limits of presidential pardons by preemptively pardoning people for things they haven't yet been charged with....it's a whole new world

I'm not here to argue about the guilt of Rangel. It is well documented and anyone else would have gone to jail

Read up on it yourself if you like.
No, that's your opinion on Rangel. Others opine differently. I know a lot about it. Plus it was a relatively small amount of money.

But that doesn't make your most recent fantasy true, ya know?

So why do corrupt fat rapists like Trump decline to prosecute peope who are nice to them? Because they can, i guess.

Not true at all. There is a long history of preemptive presidential pardons. Go read up.

Not entirely without merit. But if you are talking about ford, the pardon was for what was certainly going to be a legal issue. Same for those pardoned in the civil war, who were guilty of treasonous acts.

In J6, the pardon came before any crimes had been alleged.

I go by the pardon power in the cotus, which would seem to indicate pardons are for crimes already committed...but..you are not wrong, there seems to be a precedent.

.granted, there are ways around that scheme..if those In charge would ever use them...

I would agree that just because there is a history of them doesn't make me feel any better about them.

Not that new. The pres, still cannot officially or effectively pardon state crime. Not that much of an unconstitutional monarchy, yet. I doubt, it will be.
