Steve Bannon nails it -- twice in a row

Dunno. All I know is that collectivists like Obama either have to take advantage of a crisis or create one, so they can enact change they ordinarily could not.

After all, people basically just want to be left the hell alone so they can live their lives in peace and detest change of any kind. You then have to make them want change in order to hold their support when you go to enact all the changes YOU want done.
And in this last election, people sided with the changes Trump wants done as opposed to a continuation of Biden’s policies. (Remember: when asked, Kamala said she wouldn’t change a thing.)

I don't think America first populism causes fascism. I think government intrusion causes fascism. Climate change, speech control, the degeneration of the family and religion, DEI, CRT, defunding police, confiscating guns, globalism, controlling media and education, open border chaos and the welfare state are some of the ways government has attempted to dominate Americans and take their free will away. Democrats love dominating people. That's what fascists do. MAGA
Collectivism is what causes fascism, and there are all kinds of different flavors like communism, socialism, Progressivism, etc.

Centralized governments are already set up for despotism.

People were reeling from the changes from previous administrations, such as how Covid was handled globally. Covid was a big reason people suffered from high inflation around the globe, it is because governments around the world voluntarily shut down the world economy, creating shortages.

Inflation was also caused by the global war on climate change. You raise the price of fossil fuels, and you can't help inciting the inflationary gods along with them.

So, as we saw, these two "crisis", global warming and Covid, helped ignite government action that caused mass suffering via inflation. Kamala and company were completely behind the policies of how these supposed crises were handled, and simply wanted to ignore it all and keep winning elections

The conundrum is, which is how to maintain political support after enacting your changes to handle a crisis, that causes people to suffer?

For me it is amazing in itself that the election was as close as it was due to the state of the economy and border and world affairs.

Kamala and company almost did it.

Yeah, the title was not particularly easy for me to type. Anyway, in trying to gain a better personal understanding of the perceptions and opinions of others (yes, many of us do that pretty regularly), I'm watching a 2.5 hour interview with Steve Bannon, recorded in 2019.

Early on (VERY early on), he makes two very important points:

1. I've seen MANY people here, usually of one particular political persuasion, contend that the 2008 Meltdown was not that big a deal. Bannon, formerly of Goldman Sachs, does a good, quick, off-the-cuff job of describing how and why we literally came hours from total economic global catastrophe. Businesses around the country were about to run out of cash. Very few people know this story: At 6:42-9:52

2. Then, the next thing he talks about populism and its danger (although I doubt he meant to put it quite in this way): at 10:26, he says "every financial crisis, I think, in at least modern history, is always followed by some kind of populism. Now, sometime that devolves into fascism..."

This is out of Bannon's own mouth. I'm not making a prediction, I'm just pointing out that we need to proceed with care and thought and intelligence, and not a caveman, break-it-all approach. And that's my concern with this mess. That's one of my primary worries about Trumpism.

Think of "Trumpism" as being anti gov't and globalist elite corruption.

Another thing that really strikes me about this interview is how calm and civil and reasonable and articulate he can be when talking to the general public.

When he's talking to "the base", he's Fire & Brimstone and WE'RE AT WAR. He's hyper-aggressive and angry, presumably to match what works with his audience.

The takeaway? This message can be delivered the right way. And we're seeing the exact opposite play out. Why is that? Why does it have to be that way?

Maybe because of the Democrats and media calling Trump Hitler?

Actually, allowing an opponent to hold power is a wonderful time to enact a crisis as you then can blame the crisis on your opponent while sharing all the wonderful ways you will fix it.

Watch out these next 4 years.

Global reset anyone?

Mac1958 has stage 4 TDS, there's no reasoning with him.

The media is culpable in that.

To your last sentence, that’s what’s scary: that the media had almost enough people brainwashed to believe Trump would spell an end to democracy that they were willing to vote for a person so unqualified she hid from the voters and couldn’t answer a basic question. The whole thing was like a cruel joke.

The fact that Dems are now saying they will block the deportation of illegal alien murderers and rapists - the first group Trump will go after - tells you how desperate they are to destroy the country and bring it down to the level of Venezuela. And the media had 68 million people believing this was better than having Trump back in office.

So are you saying Obama, who was the beginning of the self-imposed destruction of America - oops, “transformation” - in which he began his presidency apologizing for our country is a Trojan Horse?

If so, who do you think was running him?
A collection of old college professors including Frances Piven. I read once where he talks to her on a regular basis.

Piven and her husband, Richard Cloward...of Cloward and Piven fame were essential anarchists who invented the idea of overloading the current system with dependency in order to crash it and rebuild it.

Uncontrolled immigration was one of their strategies. The rebuild was supposed to be some type of utopian collectivism.

I believe she's in her 90s now and certainly will do the world a great service when she stops breathing.

Between Saul Alinsky and the Cloward<>Piven duo you can chalk up about 90% of modern-day progressive platform.

How could they vote for misogynist Hitler

Fed needs to be put on a leash.

Return power to the states.
And the liberal states, like Maryland*, that continue to put an emphasis on how blacks are oppressed and America is a racist country rather than basic academics like math and reading, will see their high school “graduates” unable to get accepted into college.

*In Democrat-run Baltimore, not one single high school student tested as proficient in math.

Yup…..and 68 million gullible, ignorant voters fell for it.

That is why we have to start with the DOE. Abolish it entirely, and return all that taxpayer money to the states.
Wow! I wonder where that particular talking point came from? Straight out of DNC Central. That was absolutely ridiculous.

The Obama henchmen running the Biden Admin aren't even waiting. They are trying to start WWIII right now.
