There are several jurisdictions involved (California, New York, Nevada, NYC, Los Angeles, etc), all of whom have similar "crimes" in their books of laws, hence different time constraints for filing a criminal complaint. Further, there may be tort claims available based on various criteria, and clever lawyers who can find reasons why the normal times for filing may not apply.
But ambiguities abound. It is unquestionable that some female aspirants may have voluntarily participated in sexual activities, in the hope of gaining Weinstein's favor professionally. So are they justified in characterizing their tacit invitations and Weinstein's understandable response into "sexual harassment"?
