The ACLU has warned that transgender people risk losing access to their passport and supporting documents if they apply to update their gender marker.

The State Department is no longer issuing U.S. passports with “X” gender markers and has suspended processing all applications from Americans seeking to update their passports with a new gender marker.

This suspension, made in response to President Donald Trump’s executive order signaling his administration’s opposition to gender diversity, affects all transgender and nonbinary Americans, including those currently traveling or overseas.

I hope they have to pay full price and jump through hoops for the new passport.

Makes tremendous sense. A lot of our allies only recognize the official 2 sexes, and it will be a tremendous help to border guards and agents around the world. BTW, it will be helpful to the travelers as well Cote D'Ivoire and Bangladesh border personnel don't need to know the sexual preferences of American visitors.

So in a half hour program on a busy Sunday night, NBC News made one of their feature stories in the middle of their broadcast a story about some guy who is trans and had identified as female on they/their passport. And now they/them were forced to change it back their birth gender. It ended with an Instagram message rant and a bleeped out " _____ this administration."

What is it with the mainstream media and some in the Democratic party with this relentless push of a message that helped cost them an election and is one that a wide majority of Americans either oppose outright or remain completely indifferent and uninterested in? I'm not sure what it will take for them to realize we just don't care, but they some committed to do their best to keep us all well informed.

The person in question is someone named Hunter Schaefer, a trans "actress", so maybe they/them have a program on this network, I would not at all be surprised if this connection exists.
