I kept thinking when I was in the Army how they were putting women in jobs they physically couldn't do.

I've always felt the same way. If those of the female gender are physically and mentally capable of doing a task, then more power to them and their merit should carry them. However, to place them in a position simply because of gender is moronic. Geez, I wanted to be a pilot when I was a tyke, but I don't think anyone would have wanted me flying a plane at that age, LOL, nor at this age either.

I always wanted to learn to fly, but they didn't let you fly unless you were an officer.....and the warrant officer flight school started up while I was on an ODA. I'd rather be on a team than fly a Blackhawk.
But flying was always on my bucket list.

My nephew went to Parris Island in the 90s.

LOL, I watched the DI with Jack Webb the evening before I went to boot camp and got all gung ho. I went out in the back yard and had my brother shave my head so I wouldn't give them the satisfaction. Joke was on me--the barber took my chit and ran the clippers over my head to collect his pay anyway. The dumb shit we do when we are kids, eh?
