Because criminals can illegally make Glocks full auto, Glock is pulling most models from the market.
New models of Glocks that cannot be converted will be released in the future.

My 19 gen 3 is a tank
millions of 19 are used by LE, do they need to trade them in? doubt it

  • These discontinued models will still be supported (service parts and support will continue).
  • Law enforcement channels remain largely unaffected, though some IOP (Industry/Owner/Police) programs may be adjusted.

I read where a (W) homeowner was in a shootout (B) with home invaders and his Glock jammed.

WTF...that is why a wheel belly gun is the best home defence.

If it was me...I would tell Glock I want my $$$ back.

Friends don't let friends drive Glock!

Semi autos aren’t for everyone.

Semi autos aren’t for everyone.

Especially those that jam in the middle of a shoot out.

When you pay a lot of $$$ for a hand gun...you should be able to put 1,000 rounds thru it without a jam.

Before we got CC in TN...I was in a Lowes and the guy in front of me was wearing a cannon w/ 3 extra mags. (back than only LEO's and people with permits could open carry)

I asked him if he was a LEO...he tells me no and in a gentlemens way starts explaining the law to me. I wanted to say to him (but didn't) IMHO all you should need is a belly gun and past that you need the police.

I worked in a gun and saw plenty of nuts like him before. Nuts...that hope, wish and pray someone tries to break into thier homes. Just so they can see if they can get a tight group.

I lived in a boro and a Township that lined Philly. When people came in the shop wanting to buy a gun just for the house I would sell them a 38 Rossi. If someone is breaking into your house...call the police and than go sit in a 2nd fl corner....closes to your steps. The copper will be there in 5-10 minutes.

PAX TIBI

BTW: If you have a extra glock sitting around with nothing to do...you can send it to me. I just don't fancy those big guns for defence.

I think revolvers are best for people that won't invest the time into mastering the semi auto pistol or just prefer revolvers.

The police forces and militaries of the world have been using semi autos for many decades.

Probably shit ammo or second-source magazines. I've shot a fuckload of different bullet weights and brands through my G19 over the last 6 years without a single hiccup or FTF. Even some crappy over-length handloads I made that wouldn't even chamber in another pistol. The only bad thing I've found about the Glock is the polygonal rifling they use. You can't shoot cast lead/tin handloads because the lead smears the inside of the bore and could build up excessive pressure. This can be overcome by powder-coating the cast bullets with a polymer coating, but I still get a little leading in the barrel, if I push them past 850 fps.

But you are right about the functionality of a wheel gun. I usually carry my 60's era Colt Cobra if I'm going down to the mailbox or up the road to the country store. Same model that Jack Ruby used on Oswald. It even has a worn cylinder ratchet on one of the chambers, so the cylinder doesn't advance when I pull the hammer back for single-action fire. But the cylinder has never failed to turn when I just pull the trigger and shoot it in double-action mode.

Point 1: I agree with you...it is a matter of preface.

Point 2: Not everyone that buys guns wants to master it.
They just want one that goes boom when you pulled the trigger.

Point 3: The police forces and militaries are apples and oranges.

I'm not trying to argue with you...just giving my spin. And letting you know....Glocks jam. I read (alot) and this was a older article but it was about how easy Glocks are to convert to AUTO.

That it probably what it was...when the (W) homeowner whose Glock jammed when he got into a shoot out with (B) home invaders.

I never even thought about that.

BTW: I sorta remember he killed 2 out of 3 of them. He didn't try and clear it...he just picked up another jawn that was comparable.

I've heard several people say theirs jammed, just not at a life or death time, and I know two people who said theirs fired unexpectedly but that was maybe a dozen years ago,

Better than Glock. Plastic sights. Shitty trigger. They were cool four decades ago. 🇺🇸
lol, you can beat on freeze a glock and they work, polymer sites.......and upgrade to trijicon
trigger is fine, LE has no problem but you do?

I like my 19 but honestly my P2000 [also disco but for a different reason] feels better in hand
built like a toyota but styling of mercedes and a really smooth trigger
