Donald Trump's approval ratings in July 2025, according to various polls, show some variation but generally indicate a net negative approval rating.
According to Nate Silver's "Silver Bulletin," Trump's net approval rating has dropped from -5.9 on July 1st to -7.6 as of July 17th, 2025. This is still higher than his second-term low of -9.7 (reached on April 29th) and better than his net approval at the same point in his first term (-15.5).
- A New York Times poll indicates that recent polls show his net approval rating as having a negative leaning.
- One poll conducted by A2 Insights between July 7th and 10th showed a net disapproval of 6 points, with 53% disapproving and 47% approving.
- Another poll by HarrisX/Harris Poll from July 6th-8th showed a narrower gap with a net disapproval of 2 points (49% disapproving, 47% approving).
- A YouGov poll from July 4th-7th recorded a net disapproval of 11 points (53% disapproving, 42% approving).
- Morning Consult's poll, conducted July 3rd-6th, showed a net disapproval of 7 points, with 52% disapproving and 45% approving.
It's important to note that these are just a few examples and different polls use different methodologies and may produce slightly varied results. It is also noteworthy that Trump's second term approval rating started with a 49% approval and 43% disapproval according to Economist/YouGov polls, but has since seen a decline in favorability, especially among Democrats and independents.
Those polls (to Trump supporters) aren't legit now. Only CNN has legit polls.
