There were Arab traders who reached Australia centuries before James Cook discovered Australia in 1770. In 1944, an Australian Air Force member dug up some coins from a beach on the Wessel islands. Four of the coins were found to belong to the Dutch East India Company. But the rest of them were identified as originating from Kilwa, dating back to the 1100s. Nevertheless, there were no Arab settlers in Australia before Britain started shipping off convicts to the continent in the late 18th century. Basically, Australia was uninhabitable.

With its glittering wealth, busy harbor and coral stone buildings, the island of Kilwa rose to become the premier commercial post of coastal East Africa around the 1300s, controlling much of the Indian Ocean trade with the continent’s hinterland.

Situated in present-day southern Tanzania, during its heyday Kilwa hosted traders from as far away as China, who would exchange gold, ivory and iron from southern Africa’s interior for Arabian pottery and Indian textiles as well as perfumes, porcelains and spices from the Far East.

According to history textbooks, Aboriginal explorers arrived in Australia from Asia at least 60,000 years ago. The first European widely known to have set foot on the continent was Dutch navigator Willem Janszoon in 1606, more than 160 years before captain James Cook arrived at Australia’s south-eastern coast to claim the territory for the British empire.

So how did the five coins from distant Kilwa wind up in the isolated Wessel Islands? Was a shipwreck involved? Could it be that the Portuguese, who had looted Kilwa in 1505, reached the Australian shores with coins from East Africa in their possession? Or was it that Kilwan sailors, renowned as expert navigators all across the sea route between China and Africa, were hired by traders from the Far East to navigate their dhows?

Doesn't it feel like Mexicans are taking back Texas, California, Arizona and all the states we took from them? They are immigrating here legal or not. They have more babies than we do.

Muslims have more kids than us whites too.

Don't worry, you'll be dead before whites lose power in this country. But eventually, it'll be a melting pot. BUT, actually, I take that back because muslims who have been here for 3 or 4 generations end us assimilating. Mexicans too. My Mexican neighbors think they stick out like a sore thumb but I tell them they don't. Until they talk. Then when people here the accent, it gives them away.

You're insane. Every immigrant comes here and tries to get their kids to follow their traditions. Some of their kids do, some don't. Then they have kids and they don't even teach those kids how to speak the language. They don't go to church or marry one of their kind. They marry an American and now, they are pretty much white Americans.

I even see it with my Arab friends and their parents are relentless.

My nephew is dating a black girl. Of course my brother and sister in law want him to marry a Greek. But the girl is wonderful. Madam Cum Loudly at Michigan State. She was a cheerleader in highschool. She's smokin hot and you can't even tell she's black. She looks like this girl in the WWE. Funny because this girl went to MSU too

Small groups of cameleers were shipped in and out of Australia at three-year intervals, to service the Australian inland pastoral industry by carting goods and transporting wool bales by camel trains.

In 1838, Joseph Bruce and John Gleeson brought out 18 of the first "Afghans", who arrived in the colony of South Australia in 1838. The first camel, which became known as "Harry", arrived at Port Adelaide in 1840.

In 1866 Samuel Stuckey went to Karachi, and imported more than 100 camels as well as 31 men. In the 1860s, about 3,000 camel drivers came to Australia from Afghanistan and the Indian sub-continent, along with more camels.

In the 1890s, camels were used extensively in the Western Australian Goldfields to transport food, water, machinery and other supplies. In 1898 there were 300 Muslims in Coolgardie.

Many of the cameleers and their families later returned to their homelands, but many remained and turned to other trades and ways of making a living. Today, many people can trace their ancestry back to the early cameleers, many of whom intermarried with local Aboriginal women and European women in outback Australia.
