Software setting???

Ok I am having a bit of trouble with my new pc. (New for me)

Whenever I click on a link and it opens a new window, the window opens and then closes very quickly. I can right click and "open in a new window" and it will stay open. It is probably a stting in either WinXP or some other program to stop pop ups. Any thoughs?

check your popup stopper.

I dont think I have one...thats the problem with geting a used computer....dont know everything thats on it.

it sounds like a popup stopper. i'm pretty sure thats it.
