This was the ugliest political campaign I have ever witnessed in my life.

BOTH sides dropped so far in the gutter it will still take months just to wash the crap off of them all while they try to begin the 'Kumbaya' uniting process.

Politicians have proven they revert to their most basic animalistic or childish personas in the chase for wealth and POWER. I blame them a great deal, but I also fault the American people who have allowed themselves to be so partisanly divided with hatred that they were sucked into it, got down in the sewers with them, and defended everything they were doing.

The American people need to come to the realization and COMMITTMENT to STOP this crap in the future. When they see a politician - even theirs - cross the line they should hammer them for it not enable their actions!

Basically I believe that if a politician can't tell me why I should vote for them, how they plan to benefit this nation and me, if they have to resort to making the majority of their campaign personally attacking the opposition, the oppositions' wives and families then they have exposed a SERIOUS almost dis-qualifiable character flaw and no reason to vote for them.

I agree Trump was there at that point...but he wasn't alone. If these qualifiers were in-place for this election BOTHG parties would have been searching for new candidates IMO.

ALSO, an IMMEDIATE disqualifier should be if a candidate / candidate's campaign staff is found to be hiring thugs, arsonists, bombers, and violent people to rob/vandalize/firebomb the opponent's HQs - chase down, beat up, bloody AMERICAN citizens attending their opponents political events that displays a level of criminal hatred for the American people and this country, a desire to do absolutely ANYTHING to obtain office!

No matter at WHAT stage of the election this is discovered and proven the candidate should be removed from the election.
