Then, the United Ststes tried to overthrow the Cuban government.

We are hostile to Cuba, for no logical reason other than that they were the first Western Hemisphere nation to openly defy the United States.

You can’t fly to Cuba and lay on the beach unless you go through a third country to avoid the American sanction.

There probably isn’t a bigger example of the failure of sanctions to achieve a geopolitical goal than the American hostility toward Cuba.
