So it turns out that 3% GDP number is something of a red herring

Wanna buy a bridge in Brooklyn ? While you're waiting to decide, examine this (Biden) chart showing his 3 recessions from 2022 Q4 to 2025 Q1 two of them consecutive.

Worst US president ever, especially in economics, which he paid no attention to, other than selling political influence to anybody, anywhere around the globe. How deranged some people are, to actually praise this economic/political disaster.

When I was a Democrat (1968 - 2009), generally, things had to conform at lead to a modicum of reality, before you would talk about it. Now, Democrats will say anything, no matter how ludicrous.

Sure. Biden had 3 recessions in two years... what are you even talking about? They are listed and linked below. You need to read more. Here is the list of recessions. They are all presided by Republicans.

Looks like you were a democrat when they were made up of racists southerners and when then racist southerners flipped to the GOP so did you. Thanks for that history lesson.

So dumb. so wrong.

take the money and give it back :itsok:

latest surveys show American's are not buying what trump is peddling
One of the reasons why those polls show what they show, is because most Americans get their Trump-bash MISinformation from ABC, NBC, & CBS TV news.

Additionally, they don't get their deliberately OMITTED information from those DNC mouthpieces.

What's a Recession?
Recessions are sometimes defined as two consecutive quarters of decline in real gross domestic product (GDP), which measures the combined value of all the goods and services produced in an economy.
2 U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. "Recession."
3 International Monetary Fund. "Recession: When Bad Times Prevail."

Only problem with this definition is the word "sometimes".
No. Not sometimes. Always. Every day since 1974, when economist Julius Shiskin set the definition of a recession, as
two consecutive quarters of decline in real gross domestic product (GDP), and it has been the standard taught in 4,000 college classrooms across the USA - until just recently when leftist economics "teachers" laughably decided to create a host of new definitions, to cover up Obama & Biden's many recessions.
So let's look at the numbers of Biden's recessions.

# 1
Q4 2022 - 3.4
Q1 2023 - 2.8
Q - 2023 - 2.4

#2
Q3 2023 - 4.4

two consecutive quarters of decline in real gross domestic product (GDP),

It's true.

None of those positive numbers are indicative of a recession, moron.

A decline to the prior year. Not a smaller increase to last year than the last quarter’s increase to last year.. which are both INCREASES to last year. Biden oversaw zero recessions. Please tell me this is a comedy bit?

:puhleeze: Like what we see here, laughable redefinitions of longstanding standards, is one of the primary reasons why the Democratic Party is the equivalent of a badly soiled, riddled with holes, torn apart burlap bag.

The more Democrats foolishly try to reinvent everything, the deeper they fall into the pit of oblivion.

I think you may have a learning disability. A 5% GDP growth in Q1 followed by a 4% GDP growth in Q2 and a 3% growth in Q4 is not a recession genius. I enjoy laughing at you. You amuse me. Like a clown.

He is quite dim.
You can have him back.

So you try to claim the current numbers are fixed. Pretty hard to do, when the numbers that don't come from Trump are all looking good. Like the stock market for instance.

And the idiotic attempt to redefine "recession" went nowhere
Biden had record inflation, repeated recessions, and Americans knew it.
The proof? Who's the president ?

What you just described is a recession by the standard in 4000 US universities for over half a century The Julius Shiskin rule.
You're a DUPE IDIOT.
