Smoking Indoors Is Unacceptable

No. The smokers should move. Let them all live in an apartment house of smokers only. Let them burn it down and celebrate.
What's a grown man doing living in an apartment? That's for young people starting out. Get your own property and you don't have to worry about smokers.
Dummy smokers don't know apartments are superior to houses. I've owned homes already. Used to mow the lawn. Fix the screens. Fight the termites. And had to shell out money for all of that. Now the help take care of all that, included in the rent.

And I didn't have the 2 swimming pools, and a jacuzzi, and a tennis court, and a car wash, and an exercise room , and a clubhouse I have now.

Little Rylan Weidman (10 months old) lost his life this week, in a house fire in Hillsborough county, Florida. What caused the fire is not known, but one thing is for sure >> in all buildings (residences, workplaces, bars, etc) smoking is a huge risk. Smoking in apartments is a ridiculously selfish act on the part of the smoker, which endangers all residents of that apartment house.

I’m going to go on record to say that smoking indoors (even in private homes), should be outlawed. No open flame or lit cigarette, or any smoking device, should ever be indoors, anywhere, anytime.

Some smokers may rebel at this. They may see engaging in smoking as their right, which government has no right to infringe upon. I see Rylan Weidman’s right to be alive and safe, as outweighing the right of the person engaging in a dangerous, unhealthy, filthy, and downright stupid activity.

Fireplaces ? They provided warmth for 17th, 18th and 19th century cabins of pioneers and folks living out on the prairies of the old west. Nowadays, they are not necessary, except for rare cases of people living in wilderness areas off the electrical grid. You want a fireplace, just for the cozy ambience of it ? Get a safe one – that closely mimics a fire, using electricity, and can provide heat, as well.

Smoking IN BEDROOMS is only the number three cause of fires (smoking INDOORS is not on the list).

cooking equipment is number one. would you like to outlaw cooking?

oh wait, electrical equipment is the fourth most common cause of fire. do you want to take away our air conditioners and refrigerators, too?

The Most Common Causes of House Fires

and as stated before, it is absurd to assume that a fire of indeterminate cause is related to smoking.

Some of us can function while using maryjane. Our intelligence and physical abilities are superior and can over ride any debilitating effects.
LOL. I hate to disillusion you but, NO, your lungs are probably shot already. :frown:

The local fire chief here said chimney fires were #1 and dryers were #2. I guess it depends on where you live.

I would agree that "it is absurd to assume that a fire of indeterminate cause is related to smoking" O course. But why are you talking about that ?

By the way much of heart disease comes from smoking. You didn't know ?

that's probably true. my numbers were national numbers, not local.

either way, it sure wasn't indoor smoking.

You poor little cupcake ... Yet another professional victim who thinks the world should revolve around his every need.

I'm an ex-smoker, hate the way it smells and believe no one has the right to force me to inhale their smoke. But it's not my right to expect people to move from their home.

Quit whining, grow up, get off your fat, entitled butt and buy or rent a house. Or rent in a smoke-free apt house.

Outlaw candles too! Even during power outages! Don't allow anyone to use a flame ever because fires can happen!
Let's also ban the wheel while we're on a roll.

What is worse is the insert is made of tin when they used to be masonry and the flue column can't tolerate the high heat. I have worked on several house that had had fires three to five years after being built, and another problem is the people they hire for as cheap as possible, either cut corners on installation or don't assemble it correctly which also increases the risk of fire..

15th post
slippery slope when we start poking our noses into the homes of people.

today it's smoking

tomorrow it will be too much ice cream or soda or some other nonsense which seems like a good idea to tomorrow's busy-bodies.

I've never smoked nor understood why people do, but I've had enough of this 'it takes a village' shit already. keep your nose out of my business and leave me the hell alone....
I've had enough of people who don't give a **** about who lives or dies, and are only interested in what pleases them.

It's not just YOUR business airhead, when you endanger other people. But then who expects dum dum smokers to be smart enough to know this, right ?

who said I smoked? I was pretty clear I didn't, airhead.

what I do care about are the rights of individuals to live their lives without having to bend over and get their rights slowly fucked right out of them by every new crop of do-gooders that thinks they have a better answer for something and then run about like henny penny retards to try to force those changes on others when in reality it's none of their ******* business...

Have you seen how many people die at the hands of love?
No, I am only aware of one person (friend of a family friend or something like that) who has died during sex. Car accidents are much more common.
