I think “they don’t have a case” covers it but nobody would be surprised if all of this is a charade to show effectiveness where none exists.

I don’t know if you’ve studied it or even watched it but the Ken Burns doc on the Vietnam War refers to this giant “Pentagon East” complex called MACV. They would generate all of this data to show how effective they were being over there when none of it really mattered. Before they were done, commanders in the field were counting severed ears as evidence of enemies KIA. Turns out that many of the ears belonged to non-combatants.

I’m sure they are finding some contracts that would make anyone go “What the hell?” But they instantly scream

Takes about an hour to have a warrant signed by a judge and for a police officer to make the arrest based on probable cause.

No...you get arrested first....then arraigned...then you usually bond out pending your trial. But you get arrested on probable cause... According to the OP...”fraud” was uncovered.....that is probable cause.
