Skeptics Win, Endangerment Finding Axed – Truth Finally Prevails in The Climate Wars

Cheap, reliable energy is what civilization needs.
Even if that means it'll be 1 degree warmer in 2100.

It's probably going to be more than 1C warmer by 2100, and that will have consequences. Real estate/property markets are already increasingly uninsurable. Modern markets can't function without an insurance backstop. We can maybe go back to more primitive markets that rely less on insurance and credit and more on cash and hard assets, and maybe that's not a terrible thing in some ways. But so much of our modern civilization is built on claims on the future.

That's hilarious!

Insurance companies can't function with too much idiotic government interference.

See Florida and California.

Governments 'interfere' because they want their residents/citizens to get value for their premiums. There have been multiple instances in which property owners don't get compensated because of some technicality (in reality it's because the insurers likely don't have the money to pay out all claims).

That's what people don't understand about how insurance works. Insurance will pay for an individual household destroyed by fire. The amount they collect in premiums creates a pool that can pay insureds out one at a time. In that situation, their overall financial health isn't endangered. Moreover, the payout reinforces the value of the premium in the minds of consumers, who think, I paid the premium. Something bad happened. I got what I paid for. All well and good -- at the individual homeowner payout level.

But a situation like Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Maria, Hurricane Harvey, the L.A. wildfires, the Paradise, CA fires? That's billions in claims all at once. That stresses the market. Different story. They no longer care about the value of their premium; they care about whether they're profiting or not.

I've seen them.

How much value do they get when they can't get insured?

Climate change is like the frog sitting in a pot of water. He thinks he is taking a warm bath.

Do you object to being energy independent

I prefer a balanced energy policy that weans us from dependence on coal and oil

Oil does not make you energy independent. It can be shipped to the highest bidder anywhere in the world.
Solar and wind give energy independence.
Oil price is dependent on the global market

I have gone to St Pete Beach since 2001. In 24 years, the GULF OF AMERICA has not moved towards the line of homes and hotels at all.

WHEN ARE THE SEASON GOING TO RISE? THE GULF HAS NOT RISEN AN INCH IN THE PAST 24 YEARS!

Maybe it is only because of all the tremendous anti global warming activism from the left that the Gulf has not risen.

You lefties are going to need to find a new grift. Pretty much everything Al Gore said has turned out to be bullshit.

Solar and wind are not up to speed, and are not good for the environment, the create micro climate around them, that may be causing the increased bad weather, by shifting weather patterns. Wind turbine blades need replaced, and cannot be recycled and must be buried. Solar farms create very little energy, and again the heat that they put off are causing micro climates that are causing strange weather anomalies, if they can perfect it to where it works well without the harm cool lets wait till they do. Co2 emissions are not causing as much harm as the micro climates for wind and solar farms

Microclimates created by wind and solar farms in the US
The installation of wind and solar farms can lead to alterations in local weather conditions, particularly impacting temperature, wind speed, and humidity, according to Scientific American.

Big Oil propaganda

Nothing is as bad for the environment as coal and oil

Solar and wind make you independent of global oil prices

How many new nuclear reactors should we build?

The solid waste from old solar panels and the wind turbine graveyards are a disgrace.

It is all bullshit
