Steve Brannon was found in contempt of congress for ignoring a subpoena. He might even do jail time. Peter navaro put in handcuffs and arrested. Now, what about 9 Obama administration folks that did EXACTLY the same thing ? Erich Holder, for instance? This smacks of persecution, not prosecution.

So, we get "democrats" supporting race riots and burning down cities and destroying statues and question gender identities. But demonizes ANYONE that opposes them and deems criticism "Hate speech". They can't define 'woman", really. But they know what hate IS?

Steve Bannon had no legal or administrative cover as a government official on 1/6 that would allow him to refuse to honor a subpoena. Don't worry though. He wants to play the oppressed little victim. He'll do a few months in some country club jail and come out running his mouth about sacrificing his freedom resisting tyranny or some shit. You'll buy 8 copies of his book and the shit show continues.

By definition, politically-motivated prosecutions are the antithesis of justice.

They are not the mark of a mature democracy but rather the hallmark of a third-world junta or banana republic.

It's sad to see what has become of our system.

Ok, fine. Bannon ignored an subpoena, that's it. Just like Erich holder did. Why no jail time for HIM? We all know this is akin to a soviet era show trial. And there will be blowback after 2024. Guaranteed.

Being an elected or appointed government official has it's perks. One is that you are represented by government lawyers for your actions in office and cannot be held criminally liable for doing your job.

We are splitting hairs here. Holder WAS held in contempt of congress, he wasn't penalized. Why Bannon? Excuse me?
I already told you but you didn't like the answer. It's practically impossible to criminally charge government officials for doing their jobs.

and...

A federal judge has denied former Trump White House adviser Peter Navarro's request to remain out of prison while he appeals his contempt of Congress conviction.
