I have this really nifty idea we can call "Homestead Act 2020".

Basically we allow in asylum seekers and trophy wife parents as long as they promise to have a job, pay taxes, and stay out of jail for a decade. They'll have to live in some city owned abandoned house probably in the Rust Belt for the duration and they can just plum have it when they complete their time. This will solve some of our problems with demand for old houses I hope.
