Should the Mayors of Sanctuary Cities be arrested for violating Federal Immigration Law?

Fail harder. You need yo arrest every Fortune 1000 CEO Including TRUMP THEN
.
Relevance to the thread? A mayor or governor or anyone else who aids in the circumvention of US immigration law is guilty of aiding and abetting a crime. It doesn't matter who might have committed the same crime and got away with it, these people are guilty of the crime and should be held accountable. Isn't that what you fascist democrats have been whining for eight years? No one is above the law unless it is your guy that is violating it, eh?

Bigger question...what will happen when a mayor interferes with the arrest of an illegal and an ICE officer gets killed?

Will the mayor get life in prison? The death penalty?

If the Denver Mayor orders his police force to fight Federal law enforcement or military, he should be immediately arrested. There is no legal or Constitutional basis for these retarded "Sanctuary Cities". They should all be denied Federal Funds until they drop their Sanctuary City status and any Mayor or City Official interfering with the capture of illegal immigrants should be arrested and/or removed from office. What say you?
Easy, dude! Forces or violence should be the last option, not the first.

U.S. sanctuary cities can be ended through various means, typically involving changes at the local or state level, or federal intervention.

1. Local Legislation: City councils or mayors can repeal sanctuary policies by voting to adopt stricter immigration enforcement measures. This might involve increasing cooperation with federal immigration authorities, such as ICE.

2. State Legislation: State governments can pass laws that prohibit sanctuary policies or impose penalties on cities that maintain them, incentivizing compliance through funding mechanisms.

3. Federal Action: The federal government can withhold funding from municipalities that do not comply with immigration enforcement requests. This has been attempted in the past through executive orders or legislation.

Consequences of ending sanctuary city policies can be significant:-

Increased Cooperation with Federal Authorities: Law enforcement agencies may work more closely with federal immigration officials, potentially leading to more deportations.

Community Relations: Trust between immigrant communities and local law enforcement may erode, leading to decreased reporting of crimes and increased fear within these communities.

Economic Impact: A decrease in immigrant population due to fear of deportation could negatively affect local economies that rely on immigrant labor.

Legal Challenges: Ending sanctuary policies may lead to legal battles, as opponents may argue that such actions violate constitutional rights or local governance principles.

Ultimately, the dynamics around sanctuary cities are complex and involve balancing immigration enforcement with community safety and trust. Solving the problem could bring more problems! :)

You bring up some reasonable points, others I totally disagree with. I was referencing what the Denver Mayor said about using his Police Force to "resist" Federal personnel removing illegal immigrants. That is unconscionable and grounds for immediate arrest imo.

When Illegal Criminals start Runnin Gun Battles with LEOs then the Pro Illegal Zeitgeist will ebb

The sanctuary city officials are in violation of US Code 8, Section 1324. They need to be arrested and JAILED, in reference to US Code 8, Section 1324, and in cases where deaths occured (ex. Laken Riley), . according to the law, they should be sentenced to the death penalty.

I never would've figured Denver as the location of the start of the Revolutionary War II. But, here we are.
