Like it or not ... people have a right to assemble (whether you agree with them or not). They have a right to voice their grievances (whether you agree with them or not). They have a right to carry self protection (whether you agree with the 2nd Amendment or not). I probably wouldn't have like Pretti and his politics but I didn't know the man. Both killings by our govt agents need to be investigated by both the State and a neutral federal agency like the federal Civil Rights Division prosecutors....and if a grand jury indicts for crimes, then they get their due process in a Court of Law, and 12 jurors find them not guilty or guilty. Then the convicts can also appeal if found guilty...and when all said and done, if found guilty, they are not eligible to be executed...it wasn't premeditated....

There's a legitimate argument that the first agent shot in self defense. Had it been me ... I would have simply stepped aside before being hit by a car but I'm a common sense sort of guy. So, no, the first officer should get some training before returning to his job. Better yet ... he should find another line of work.

The second agent is guilty of 2nd Degree murder. He should be severely punished but I don't believe his crime is "death penalty" material. He was full of adrenaline and anger which is a dangerous combination. He clearly doesn't have the temperament or good judgment to be in law enforcement. He's more suited for making license plates.

Again, these men deserve their day in court.

Neither you or I are in a position to hand down such judgements based on a short video.

Remember the Covington Kid who the country thought was a racist based on one short video that was edited so it appeared that he was the problem? Luckily, another video that was a longer version showed what really happened.

He was then vindicated, and sued the hell out of the media for labeling him a Nazi hound from hell as death threats came pouring in.

People get shot by law enforcement all the time. In fact, more whites than minorities get shot by the police every year.

Some are justifiable shootings and other may not be, but what is the alternative? Is the alternative doing away with laws or those that enforce them?
