We hound politicians to produce their tax returns. So why not ask them to show they are better than immigrants and take the new citizenship test?

You can take a short sample test of ten questions here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/interactive/2025/united-states-citizenship-quiz/

The sample test in that link offers multiple choices for each question, but that is not how the actual test works. On the real test, you answer verbally, and you get one guess.

This would be a great debate round where each candidate is asked a citizenship question and they get one guess. If they get it wrong, they are shipped off to Sudan.

I aced the sample test, and it doesn't even ask you if you can recognize a drawing of a camel.

The new test has 128 questions from which 20 are randomly selected for the applicant to answer. They have to get 12 correct.

You can see all 128 questions and all the acceptable answers to them here: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default...025-Civics-Test-128-Questions-and-Answers.pdf

It is really "too bad" that we don't have an "entity" that can be trusted to score such things.

A citizenship test, an IQ test, a "knowledge of America" test....

but alas, we'd get Donna Brazille giving the questions to Hillary before the test again...

The correct answers are unequivocal. They are listed in the link which you obviously didn't even bother to look at.

Every applicant for citizenship is allowed to study the 128 questions before taking the test. So your Hillary red herring does not work here.

Sorry about that.

And at least Brazille doesn't suck Trump's cock like happens during a Fox News interview.

"Gosh golly, tell us how you turned out so awesome!"

They sHould be citizens and if the are, didnt they take a.test already? I'd push for.politicians to know your Constitution thoroughly and for your media to always ask questions of your constitution to all candidates at every level.

Would anyone trust this poster to give a test to both GOP and Dems fairly?

Nope. You don't have to take a test when you are born here to become a citizen.

There are several questions on the test about the Constitution. Maybe you all should read the links which this forum requires in OPs. What do you think?

As I said, we hound our politicians to produce their tax returns even though it isn't a constitutional requirement.

It would better to grill them during a debate on their citizenship knowledge.

All caught up now?

I am referring to foreign born who become Americans. They have to pass a citizen test right? If American born citizens dont understand their country of birth that's a failure of your education system or your citizens aptitude. Ontario and Quebec may be the least informed about Canadian civics across the nation, we almost certainly have a poorer education system in this regard than B.C or Alberta. It's probably the same if you compared the propensity to learn civics in locales such as Texas vs Nevada or whatnot..

It isn't in the US Constitution, state constitution or in and federal, state or local statutes. But, feel free to harass the crap out of them.

I doubt any such requirement would get past the Democrats as they would claim it was discriminatory.

But I definitely would take note of a candidate's answers on the entire 128 question U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services test that you've provided.

I've only once looked up a candidate's tax return and did so only as a curiosity. However, I'd look at the candidate's answer sheet to the 128 questions in deciding a candidate's ability to fulfill the job.

I agree but DO we see their taxes? pelosi, schumer, etc release theirs?

they are not obligated, it's not our concern, we don't ask co-workers or neighbors for theirs

so what if they are not that bright, do they get removed?

I get the idea but kinda pointless as well, they get elected by the people, if the people are dumb
they keep electing dumb politicians [See CA, NY, MA, etc]

I would be fine with that as long as voters have the same requirement.

You have to be a natural born citizen to be President.

You would be surprised how ignorant natural born citizens are about our government, the Constitution, and our history.

Just look at Trump! He thinks George Washington's army took to the air and seized the airports! He believes he can overwrite the Constitution and end birthright citizenship with the stroke of a pen!

There it is. I knew you could not go more than 1 post without mentioning Trump.

Who was hiding under your bed prior to 2015?
