Efficiency is, by definition, maximal output through minimal input. Some say we have too many federal employees, while others say we have too few.

I contend that we have too few. Due to understaffing, the quality of government services suffers. The expectation of an employee to do the work of two people is unrealistic. Worker fatigue sets in and compromises performance. Therefore, it is through a lack of input of a sufficient workforce to address public demand that government fails address public demand properly.

What say you?

If the goal is for the Federal government to run every aspect of our lives, then yes.

If not, then no.

OMG, liberals are unhinged in their defense of bloated government and trying to defend it! 🤣
OMG, did you call moi a liberal?

Heh. I'm far from one. But I'm not stupid.

Effective government needs an effective and adequately maintained workforce.

You let Congress provide the oversight.

Trying to achieve some mystical economy of scale is part of the reason the government is so screwed up.

For example, we let states do some of the heavy lifting. Some may choose to, some may not.

How is that efficient?
