There is no Constitutional right not to be offended. If it reaches the point where the object of the communication feels threatened, that is usually a matter of said object being a ******* neurotic feminist.

If it reaches the point where it IS a threat, there is probably a law somewhere that makes it a crime, though almost impossible to prosecute successfully.

Feminists? Why don't you ask the women you know and find out what they have to say. Do you seriously think a Christian woman wants to be told, "nice tits"?

In the UK it is alteady.

I am not sure.

What do you think?

I always just slapped their BS back at them.

Example -- I used to get comments about my legs, and I hollered back, "Yeah, and there's two of them in case you can't count that high on your own."

Poor taste, that's all.

I sometimes found myself defending young women if the catcalling got too crude. In one case, a male started getting physical with a teen aged girl at a bus stop, and just then, a police cruiser drove by and I screamed and got the officer's attention. The young woman was very grateful.

Physical assault isn't quite the same thing as a wolf whistle.

Criminally, assault is putting someone in fear of physical harm. Battery is actually harming that person. Civilly, the offender can be sued for causing emotional harm or for defamation. (If the victim is a minor, additional crimes and liabilities may be involved.)

In the US, adult victims have the responsibility of pursuing these actions. In the UK, everyone is treated as a helpless child.
