We need to start by

1) stopping the democrat party attacks on the police....which allows criminals to run free

2) stop the democrat. party judges, prosecutors and politicians from releasing violent gun criminals over and over again no matter how many gun felonies they commit.....if they are in prison, they aren't out shooting people....

3) we need to close up the southern border, where the democrats are allowing violent criminals, drug cartels and all sorts of other criminals to flood our country and increase our gun crime...

Those three things will reduce gun violence......banning and confiscating guns from normal American who do not use them for crime will do nothing....
