A man has been taken into custody after allegedly fighting with three police officers in North Dakota. According to TMZ, Fargo police approached Joseph Manitowabi around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, following a tip from the city’s Real Time Crime Center. When officers tried to apprehend him, he reportedly engaged in a physical confrontation.
Footage of the incident depicts the 37-year-old struggling with two male officers and one female officer, during which he allegedly punched all three in the face before escaping and fleeing down the street.
Manitowabi now faces multiple charges, including three counts of assault on a police officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of arrest, and failure to comply with law enforcement.
"That doesn't look like LA or the current riots. I think this maybe fake," one person on X commented. Another said: That is how you deal with fascism. Dude is a hero." A third stated: "DEI cops."
Records indicate that Manitowabi's resistance primarily stemmed from drug-related offenses. The three officers involved sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The officer recounted: “I drew my conducted energy weapon, commonly known as a taser, and instructed Joseph to raise his hands, then yelled 'Stop.'" The officer had radioed in his location, where Manitowabi was eventually arrested.
