This horse was amazing, it was allowed to walk around base camp without ever being tied down, and it developed a close relationship with Marines there. But when the shooting started, Sgt. Reckless made an amazing 51 trips through no-mans land, unaccompanied, to carry ammo from base camp to the firebase.
