Seriously, I can't support Israel anymore if they're going to attack other nations and pull us into more fucking wars. This little nation needs to realize it isn't America's job to defend it as they go around violating international law and attacking their much bigger neighbors.
Israel needs a two state solution now or it needs to integrate the people completely into its society. Period. If they're not willing to do either then we need to end the experiment and offer the jewish of israel people full citizenship here in America. We can't ignore the reality that islamic people that control this part of the world won't ever back down if they don't treat people with decency and respect.
The Jews first settled the Levant/Israel(Palestine) about 4,000 years ago. This small parcel of land has been their national homeland ever since. Unfortunately they have been subject to constant cycle of frequent attacks, conquering, expulsion and return ever since.
Last round of efforts to return the exiled masses of Jews got started in late 1800s. Accelerated in wake of World War II when Nazi Germany, and many others in Europe and Eurasia tried to exterminate all Jews.
The United Nations presented a two state solution in 1947. Jews accepted such and established nation of Israel within the boundaries of that UN Resolution.
Arab/Muslim nations bordering and in that part of the Middle East rejected and then attacked Israel. Their goal was to eliminate Israel and all Jews therein. Arabs/Muslims would then control all land in "Palestine" and Israel would cease to exist.
The Arabs/Muslims set the terms of that war as an all or nothing, and in violating denouncing the U.N. Resolution, invalidated the two state solution.
Israel has operated under the terms set by their Arab/Muslim enemies, hence neither Gaza , nor West Bank can be considered illegally occupied based on the changed terms and conditions of War established by the Arabs/Muslim since 1948.
In the wake of the 1948 war, hundreds of thousands of Jews had to flee Muslims lands where they had lived for centuries. About half emigrated to the US and Europe, others to Israel.
Arab/Muslim attackers refused to accepted the displaced Palestinians, hence they became "homeless" refugees, if they didn't wish to remain in Israel as citizens.
A significant portion of West Jordan was also part of the Palestine state established by the Balfour Declaration and post World War settlement of these form Turkish colony lands. No-one ever mentions how Jordan should also give up the land it has claimed which was to be for the Palestinians.
Further complication is that in Islamic theology and dogma, any land once under Islamic rule is always Islamic land and must be returned to "the fold" ~ World of Islam/Dar al-Islam. Also, Islam has a mandate from it's origin to convert the whole world, all mankind, by choice and/or force. Hence Islamic Jihad never ends until the whole of humanity are Muslim.
The solution goes beyond the Israel/Palestine situation.
The only working, long-term solution is for Islam to either radically revise it's scripture, dogma, and agenda of world wide conversion to Islam;
OR
The religion of Islam must cease to exist.
