The Thomas Paine Society is publishing full-page ads in many major cities today, citing President Trump's troubles with the law. First is the "thirty-four felony charges," in Manhattan. Parenthetically, I wonder why they don't say, "convictions." It sound much more impressive, doesn't it? Second is, liability for sexual abuse and defamation; again I wonder why they didn't say, "rape." That is the Leftist narrative these days. Then you have, fined for misusing charity contributions, and then the $355 Million judgment for "lying about his wealth."
But here is the irony: Trump supporters could use THESE VERY SAME FACTS in advertising FOR his candidacy! The felony charges in New York are unprecedented and absurd - truly the most blatant case of prosecutorial abuse in recent memory. The sexual abuse and defamation case - also in Manhattan - is another absurdity. Who actually believes that Donald Trump, a man who moves about with a large posse of assistants wherever he goes, raped a middle-aged woman in a department store dressing room, and nobody noticed? It is preposterous. Then you have the judgment for "lying about his wealth". Seriously? A civil penalty of hundreds of millions of dollars where there was no victim?
Honest to God, you could take that anti-Trump ad, change a few words, and make it a very effective ad PROVING that everything Trump says about weaponizing the "justice" system has been demonstrated in the headlines of the past year!
