As we all heard, a demand was building in the US House of Representatives for the "Epstein Files" to be released by Jeffrey Epstein's best friend and his inept Attorney General.

In what has become a de rigueur act of cowardice, House Speaker Mike Johnson shut down the House and shooed everyone away. MAGA Christian Mike then dropped to his knees and prayed to baby Jesus his coverup of pedophilia worked.

The second prong of this strategy has been Donald Trump re-activating all his golden oldies to distract his followers from the Epstein quagmire.

Rosie O'Donnell!

Hillary!

Comey!

Russia Russia Russia!

Letitia!

So here's the thing.

The "Epstein Files Transparency Act" is still sitting in committee, and it will be there when the House readjourns on September 2.

On September 3, House Republicans and Democrats will be holding a presser. They will have victims of Epstein and Maxwell there. They will be demanding the Trump administration release "The Epstein Files".

Here's another thing.

If a bill sits in a committee for more than 30 days, it becomes eligible for a discharge petition. This bill has been in the rules committee since July 15.

Ordinarily, the House Speaker can quash any bill he doesn't like forever, but that only works so long as he has his whole MAGA team behind him.

In an amazing break from unity, MAGA Mike does not the whole MAGA team behind him on this issue. There are 11 Republican co-sponsors of the transparancy act. That's enough for a discharge petition to succeed.

If the petition succeeds, the bill wil be moved from committee to a vote on the House floor.

At that point, imagine the optics when your vote is counted in big white letters on the TV screen for the whole counrry to see.

Q: How are you going to vote on the Epstein Files Transparency Act, congressman?

A: Well, bluster-bluster-bluster, I haven't read it yet bluster-bluster-bluster, so we will have to wait and see bluster-bluster-bluster...

I wonder if MAGA Mike is hunting down those 11 GOP co-sponsors and promising them a lifetime supply of suckage right now.

You make some good points. Except:

Nobody cares if Trump is found to have had 4-ways with Jeffry and little girls.

They don't pray to baby jesus,, they only pretend to pray.
Some of us don't pray at all, but you are wrong. We (many/ some) of us would "care."

I would care anyway, and I don't care how many of my fellow Trump supporters I offend by saying it.

That said, the more I see, the less I'm convinced that there is now or ever was any real evidence to implicate or convict Trump himself.

If there is such evidence, I want to see it prosecuted to the max possible.

What I think would really help would be if some of the victims would come forward and go public. Even if their actual identity were to be shielded.

It appears though, some of the "victims" have settled for a monetary settlement of the issue. . . which (to me) complicates things respectively and even with regards to the victim's credibility.

Why would anyone mind (magas that is) if you follow the FACTS; I do the same. But again, WE don't deal in hypotheticals.

Nothing FACTUAL even on Bill........yet.

I don't recall a single Democrat calling for the release of Jeffrey Epstein evidence while Biden was in the White House... why is that?
Essentially, because the establishment has far more control over that party.

. . . and they admit that.

Dianne Feinstein: CIA spied on Senate committee

"The head of the Senate Intelligence Committee is accusing the CIA of criminal activity in improperly searching a computer network set up for lawmakers investigating allegations that the agency used torture in terror investigations."

Damn. Those fuckers are way out of control.

I think most of us believe that Epstein was a CIA/Mossad operation. Taking them down would be extraordinary.... and I am for it.

Hey Cowboy, that there horse has been dead for a while, but don't let that keep you from beating it.

......

Yeah a bunch of elites molesting children is no big deal. :uhoh3:
The death of the American financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein occurred on August 10, 2019. Guards found Epstein unresponsive in his jail cell at 6:30 am at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City, hanging off the side of his cell's bed, where he was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. After prison guards performed CPR, he was transported in cardiac arrest to the New York Downtown Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:39 am. The New York City medical examiner and the Justice Department Inspector General ruled that Epstein's death was a suicide by hanging.
On July 6, 2019, Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in New York City on multiple charges, including sex trafficking, and held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center[note 2] in Lower Manhattan.[8][9] He pleaded not guilty.[10][11] He faced similar charges in Florida in 2008, but escaped federal charges in a plea deal. Under its provisions, he pleaded guilty to two state felony charges, paid restitution to three dozen victims identified by the FBI, and registered as a sex offender in both Florida and New York.[12]

On July 18, 2019, Epstein was denied bail after offering $600,000 to be able to wear an ankle tracker at his New York City townhouse. He was viewed as a potential flight risk because of the 20 international flights he took in the previous 18 months.[13][14] Epstein appealed the bail denial decision to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; at the time of his death, the appeal was still pending.[15]

That said, the more I see - the less I'm convinced that there is now or ever was any real evidence to implicate or convict Trump himself.
Trump is behaving like a guilty person, and MAGA Mike is acting like his enabler.

The way Trump is thrashing around trying to distract from his involvement with Epstein, the more guilty he looks.

He's even gone after Rosie O'Donnell again!

I dislike O'Donnell as much as the next guy but...What. The. ****?

The more Trump and Johnson try to shut down transparency, the guiltier Trump looks.

I seriously doubt there is an "Epstein Client List". I just don't see it. But the idiot Bondi said she had one, and that opened the whole can o'worms again.

But there is a lot about Epstein and his cabal and his ties to Trump that have yet to come to light.

James Comer is running a farce pretending to delve into these mysteries, but he is just another Trump enabler. He's a total hack. He has subpoenaed several Democrats but none of the players in the Epstein fiasco who actually matter. Alex Acosta, for example. Pam Bondi, for another.

That again screams coverup.

.

What I think would really help - would be if some of the victims would come forward and go public.
Many of them have come forward. You can see some in a recent Netflix documentary series.

Also, as I mentioned in the OP, some of the victims are going to be at the September 3 press conference.

But it should be noted that of the hundreds of victims, not one has ever claimed anyone other than Epstein and Maxwell molested them, with the single exception of Prince Andrew.

In every actual sex crimes case, there is always more than one victim of a rapist. Think Weinstein, Cosby, Diddy, et al.

Yet not even one has come forward to name Trump or Clinton or anyone else. That speaks a great deal toward their innocence.

It appears though that some of the "victims" have settled for a monetary settlement of the issue. . . which (to me) complicates things respectively and with regards to credibility.
Since they will never have the satisfaction of seeing Epstein rot in prison for the rest of his life, finanical compensation is the least they deserve.

His fortune should not be passed on to his heirs. It should become as sand in the wind.

And that is what you do. You legalize all of this. And push it into making it the norm.

It's a bad look.

I agree.

I have also consistently been calling for complete transparency on this. Here and also on X.

Netflix?

Why not on mainstream media?

Also, as I mentioned in the OP, some of the victims are going to be at the September 3 press conference.

Do you have their names?

But it should be noted that of the hundreds of victims, not one has ever claimed anyone other than Epstein and Maxwell molested them, with the single exception of Prince Andrew.

Yet not even one has come forward to name Trump or Clinton or anyone else. That speaks a great deal toward their innocence.
It could just as easily speak to the effectiveness of their "cleaning" efforts and damage control.

Since they will never have the satisfaction of seeing Epstein rot in prison for the rest of his life, finanical compensation is the least they deserve.

I agree to their right to be compensated. But society also has a right to know what really happened.

It won't pass. Why won't it? Because Trump's patsy's in the HOR don't give a shit what their constituents want or what it is those files. And they think & are confident that there are enough craven scum like Abbott who can gerrymanfer their way into holding onto the House next year.

We'll never see those files & Trump will be the first fascist dictator of the good old U.S.A. within a year, Epstein files be damned. He's halfway there now & who's going to stop him?
