Another retirement that presents a pick up opportunity for the GOP. Given the history of presidents typically losing seats in the midterm elections of their second term, Republicans should be able to pick up this Iowa seat as well as the open seat in West Virginia and hang on to Georgia, assuming of course, they don’t screw everything up like they did last year with Akin and Mourdoch or in 2010 with O’Donnell and Angle.

Don't underestimate the Dems. The same Senators who reelect Harry Reid are allowed to vote against certain Democratic bills if they are up for reelection in the next two years. Then they can hoodwink the voters into thinking they are "conservative." Just watch Joe Manchin (D-WV).

Your definition of Urban and "Urban" Iowa are not equal.
