The committee investigating Russian meddling in the U.S. election asked for all documents, emails and telephone records.

The Senate Intelligence Committee, investigating Russian meddling in U.S. 2016 election, has asked President Donald Trump’s political organization to hand over all documents going back the campaign’s launch in June 2015, the Washington Post reported on Friday, citing two people briefed on the request.

The letter from the Senate panel seeking all documents, emails and telephone records arrived at Trump’s campaign committee last week and was addressed to its treasurer, the Post said.

Sounds like this is going to be a very deep and wide series of investigations.

Wow. Talk about a fishing expedition!

This is really very, very clever. They will get hundreds of thousands of bits from a hundred or more individuals. They will not be able to classify or analyze this trove much less investigate in the next four years, possibly not in 8 years. Now they have an excuse for not finding evidence of cooperation much less collusion.

Very well done. Transparent excuse but well done anyway.
