Senate Hearing to Confirm or reject Kashmir Patel

Will be confirmed.

Tulsi is looking very weak.

Kennedy will make it through.

So far, the Dems are sounding a little more reasonable than in some of the other confirmation hearings.

The FBI have to be the G-Men that I grew up knowing. I used to listen to Old Time Radio every Sunday night when I was a kid as it helped me sleep, many of these were from the 30s to the 50s and they often covered FBI stories.

Then there was the 1980s in which the FBI handled Russian spies with the utmost professionalism, even as they sometimes had to let men they strongly suspected were spies but, their fidelity to their motto and principles reigned supreme.

You need that FBI. They were known around the world known as the best. I don't follow them much now or follow their stories but they do seem to be more political than in the past. Hell, they were the original purveyors of America First long before Reagan coined the term.

I don't know much about Patel or any other nominees outside of Rubio and Gabbard to a lesser degree. He must maintain that former reputation and also remain apolitical regardless.

Until the 70s, the FBI was ruled with an iron fist by J. Edgar Hoover, who was as corrupt as they come. He had dirt on everyone in DC which contributed to his power.

The other confirmation is being run by Pfizer, Gates and Soros. They are spending millions to stop RFK.

Kash Patel is a loon and belongs nowhere near the FBI. However, since he is so spectacularly unqualified for the job of FBI director, he is the perfect Trump nominee.

What loony things has he done, and where did he hurt you?

I'm looking forward to these Hearings today. Especially interested in Patel. I am rooting for this confirmation.

Trump has nominated Kash Patel to serve as director of the FBI.

Patel has worked as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Security Division. During Trump’s first administration, Patel also worked as a counterterrorism adviser on the White House National Security Council and as a principal deputy in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) in 2020 under then-acting DNI Richard Grenell.

Kash will be busy cleaning house for a while.

Patel said those rioters who attacked police should not have sentences commuted.

There will be diversity among Trumps agency heads. Diversity of opinion. That will be a breathe of fresh air after the last four years.

Nobody should have been commuted and or pardoned, but I can support Patel on this note.

Not to mention Ashli Babbitt, who was summarily executed for trespass and her sentence could not be commuted. When is Michael Byrd's trial.

Exactly.

There were protesters in the capital just yesterday. They were trying to shout down the Robert Kennedy, Jr. hearing.

I did not see a single liberal Democrat on here calling for them to go to prison for life. I guess the reasoning has nothing to do with “the sacred halls of Congress.”
