John isn't ready to kick the bucket just yet. Maybe he could mentor Paul for a while first.
I mean, Kennedy only has to last a few years for Trump to get through his term, then, if we are lucky, usher in Paul for the next Vance Administration.

I anticipate Vance being one of the most visible and proactive VPs in American History.

He was ok with the biden/senate immigration bill because his principals are not fixed but instead mallable

Trump has a lot of momentum now

Cornyn knows his way around washington so he could be helpful to the Trump agenda
