Democrats destroyed (and will attempt to continue to destroy) the city and conservative will come in and clean it up! In the end the conservatives won't be thanked but will be defamed and demagogued by the clueless liberals that will eventually take over and destroy the city again!

The official announcement is at noon, but Detroit Mayor Dave Bing spilled the beans yesterday after a phone call with Gov. Rick Snyder, who informed him that he has decided to execute a state takeover of the City of Detroit. The Republican governor will soon appoint an emergency financial manager to run the city, essentially taking all power away from the Democratic mayor and city council.

This should have happened a year ago, or even sooner. Now it's to the point where there simply is no other option.

The numbers are simply mind-boggling. Detroit, a city of just over 700,000 people, faces a budget deficit of about $327 million, but its long-term debts total $14.9 billion. It's debt-to-asset ratio is an astonishing 33-to-1. The population of the city is a mere one-third of what it was in its heyday in the 1950s, when more than 2.1 million people called the city home. And yet the size of the city government has not declined at all. Today, Detroit has 12,900 employees. Yet it can't keep the streetlights turned on, it can't raze abandoned houses, it can't pick up the trash and it can't stem the tide of violence and murder that fill the streets.

Detroit is a sewer. This is the direct result of years of liberal policies. Chicago is another great example of what happens when the liberals rule.

California is also broke. Not hard to imagine the entire country looking like Chicago and Detroit after a few more years of liberal policies being shoved down our throats. Is that what people really voted for? I suspect the people were just saying thank you to the administration for the increase in entitlements and amnesty. They know nothing about the effect of liberalism in the long run and they don't care as long as the promises sound good to them. IDIOTS!!
