The reporter in question had stepped 18 inches outside the designated area, and that is why Trump's service detail body slammed him.
I seen the video and story on another website.
The security barrier is there for a reason. The reporter stepped past it. He was either ignorant, testing the Secret Service, or just did not care.
In my opinion, the Secret Service Agent was too easy on him. Speaking from someone whom worked security in the Military, I would have been much more harder on the reporter.
Security barriers and rules exist for the safety of not only the protectee, but those in the area. Rules and barriers keep everyone safe.
The US Secret Service is not supposed to be some fuzzy and warm Federal Law Enforcement Agency. They are supposed to, and do take their jobs seriously. I would not have put him in a choke hold. I would have picked him up, slammed him on the ground, then rolled him over and "cuffed him." Let the media and the rest of the onlookers get a sight of that.
The video I seen, showed the reporter laying on his back, the Secret Service Agent near the reporters feet, and the reporter kicking at the Agent. The reporter, was then able to walk away - saying he would not file charges against the Agent, because he stepped outside the barrier. That was Bull Schit. Agents are not supposed to look like idiots - and people whom physically assault and Agent, do not just simply walk away. Handcuff him - and walk him to a car, to be taken to be arraigned in front of a Federal Magistrate.
The man kicking at the Agent, then being able to walk away with no charges, made the Secret Service.....and the Agent.....look weak and without intestinal fortitude. One part of Security work, and Law Enforcement.....is maintaining psychological control. Psychological control will help prevent a physical confrontation.
If I would have been the "Agent" ; I would have kicked the reporters azzz.
The "Agents" are responsible for the Safety and Security of Mr.Trump - safety and security which is a huge responsibility.
Reporter deserved an "azzzz" whooping and some jail time. Let the American Public, the attendees at the Trump Rally, and the rest of the world, see that.
