Trans identifying men and women need specialized healthcare, as well as the logistics to receive hormones in combat/front line situations. The DoD also doesn’t allow diabetics to join the military. That isn't because there’s an anti-diabetes agenda at the Pentagon, but because providing that level of specialized medical care in difficult situations would be hard to do.
