Sean Duffy: GOP like 'Neanderthals' sometimes - Tal Kopan - POLITICO.com

Rep. Sean Duffy said Tuesday the Republican Party needs to do a better job of communicating its message so it doesn’t come off as “Neanderthals.”

“From my perspective, and I come from a very 50-50 district in central and northern Wisconsin, you have people on our side of the aisle that have a really abrasive tone. We can come across as knuckle-dragging Neanderthals on occasion,” Duffy said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

The Wisconsin Republican said itÂ’s up to the party to reach out to people in need and let them know how the GOP ideology can help them.

“We have to actually take our message to where people are at. We have moms that can’t pay the utility bill, dads who can’t pay the mortgage. How does our conservative ideology and philosophy actually help lift them out of the place that they are today and move them up the economic ladder?” Duffy said. “We don’t do a good job of presenting that message, and we have to change how we’re doing it.”...

CHUCKLE, CHUCKLE...

An honest Republican who faces reality? They should run him for President.

He seems to think the problem lies in the messaging. I don't see him proposing any new policy in that critique of his party.

When does this dude run for re election again? Sounds like he found God in his paycheck.

awww, how cute:rolleyes:

and the Democrat party are called, Saints, right?

It's great to see a right winger with common sense!

Ya know what? **** this guy... what he doesn't get is the GOP's problem is they have allowed the left to categorize them as such... they've let all this retarded-assed shit ;like "war on women" go unanswered. Its al lies.. there is no Republican War in Women. They've let the leftwing lie-machine go full throttle for too long.
