The eggs were fertilized, and some even started to form embryos. However, none of the embryos would have been viable, as all had chromosomal abnormalities.

But, mark this one down. This will be the future for our grandchildren.

You lost your gonads to injuries or illness, but you want a genetically-related baby? Done.

Would you and your same-sex partner like a genetically-related baby? Done.

Obviously non-viable human eggs. If genetic scientists are so good why can't they bring back ice age creatures?

Maybe they will figure things out later. Maybe AI will help.

Whether it's ethical is another matter.

Bring them back... how? Like, with identical genes? Like, perfect clones of an individual or individuals?

If this is what you ask, I'm sad to say: It will almost certainly never happen. DNA just doesn't have that kind of shelf life to stay perfectly intact.

So, I guess no scientist or science will ever be good enough for you. To believe in evolution, that is. Let's just skip right to the point.
What is the point? Don't genetic scientists have anything better to do like curing freaking cancer than creating human eggs from dead tissue?

I'm pretty sure they are working on that, too.

But, in this case, this could lead to a better alternative to IVF. Or, better put, it WILL lead to a better alternative, in some small part. Some people think that's pretty important. They comprise about 50% of the population.

Unfortunately it doesn't convince me to be "pretty sure" of their motivation.

Okay, but that isn't left to chance.

A woman loses her ovaries, but has a way to have her baby implanted in her anyway. Would you deny her this, because you "don't know" someone's motivation? No, of course not. You would want rules. There are rules.
