SB1062, Hobby Lobs...Religious Exemptions Q: Do Corporations have Religious Beliefs?

Of course corporations are people, do they not bleed, cough, go to the bathroom like the rest of us, and the biggie, do corporations not have souls. Sure corporations tend to watch their dollars more and expect to pay big-time for legislative favors but if liberals realized that helping corporations is just like helping the neighborhood church we'd be better off. We must remember that God and the Supreme Court gave souls to corporations or they couldn't exist.

As Jon Stewart said, "Corporations are not born". As soon as one comes out of a vagina, I'll admit corporations are people.

The word is person, which is a legal concept. Corporations are as much a legal person as you are.

the same ruling that made corporations people made unions people

the left has no problem with that

idiots and hypocrites

Big difference between the two. Unions have given workers weekends, overtime, healthcare benefits, workers comp., and retirement. Corporations only try to take those things and enslave workers.

Unions give overtime and benefits? Only to their officers. The actual members' overtime and benefits are paid for by the employer. Perhaps you are confused.

That explains why Hobby Lobby closes early and never opens on Sunday, even though there is no union at the stores.

Wait, it actually doesn't.

Hobby Lobby's Hypocrisy: The Company's Retirement Plan Invests in Contraception Manufacturers

"When Obamacare compelled businesses to include emergency contraception in employee health care plans, Hobby Lobby, a national chain of craft stores, fought the law all the way to the Supreme Court. The Affordable Care Act's contraception mandate, the company's owners argued, forced them to violate their religious beliefs. But while it was suing the government, Hobby Lobby spent millions of dollars on an employee retirement plan that invested in the manufacturers of the same contraceptive products the firm's owners cite in their lawsuit.

Documents filed with the Department of Labor and dated December 2012—three months after the company's owners filed their lawsuit—show that the Hobby Lobby 401(k) employee retirement plan held more than $73 million in mutual funds with investments in companies that produce emergency contraceptive pills, intrauterine devices, and drugs commonly used in abortions. Hobby Lobby makes large matching contributions to this company-sponsored 401(k).

Several of the mutual funds in Hobby Lobby's retirement plan have holdings in companies that manufacture the specific drugs and devices that the Green family, which owns Hobby Lobby, is fighting to keep out of Hobby Lobby's health care policies: the emergency contraceptive pills Plan B and Ella, and copper and hormonal intrauterine devices."

So not only did Hob Lobs cover the hormones they now want to deny their employees as part of their plan prior to 2013, they also invested huge amounts of money in the marketers of these drug.

Hypocrites.

Hypocrisy: the last sin in American public life.

Of course there is no hypocrisy. It is manufactured out of fauxrage from the Left. It is the Left who are real hypocrites.
And even if HL were guilty of hypocrisy, so what? Does someone lose his rights for being a hypocrite?

And WTF? The SCOTUS can just ignore the science around the contraception in question because these nutzoids believe they cause abortion? Seriously?

Is the Supreme Court being asked to rule on "the science"? Or are they being asked to rule on whether or not people have the right to act in accordance with their personal beliefs without coercion or punishment by the government?

In other words, fuckstain, do my rights have to coincide with what YOU believe "the science" is in order for me to have those rights?

Yes, I know, you don't believe anyone should have rights except for leftists wanting to get abortions at the drop of a prom dress. :eusa_hand:
