The reboot has been cancelled. Go here for the news. The good thing is that the show was able to happen at all. Was it ever said why the Coach TV show reboot never did take place? Jerry Van Dyke was still here at the time, but yeah, whatever got filmed never did make it to any TV station.

I believe that a tribute to actor Dustin Diamond who of course gave us the character of Screech was supposed to have happened at some point during the second season.
