I have the compact 15 shot model.

It has maybe 50 rounds through it. I was wondering if anyone has one, does it wear in some so the slide is easier to pull back? This one is pretty hard to rack.

i have the shield in the .45 and .45 compact. Both are a little tight in the racking but no big deal once you pull the trigger. Auto racking until empty.

Every pistol has a break-in period. The recoil spring will loosen up and it's still going to be a heavy but that's to be expected with compact pistols, most people just get used to it.
There's a couple of different models so which is yours? And don't say "9", that's just the caliber. If you want a lighter racking S&W they make the EZ line.

All you lead lovers best start thinking of life AFTER guns.
No doubt at this point they are going to take them.
You know it...you see it every day...but will deny it.

That said, I like my Taurus and my Ruger compact 9.
The Ruger is insanely accurate.
S&W makes some fine stuff too.

I have one like in the picture. A compact Smith & Wesson M&P 9 with 15 round mag.

No one is taking my guns without a fight. Cowards always bend over or kneel.

I just looked it up and the model is the M2.0 Compact so yes, as with basically all compact carry pistols the slide racking is going to be heavy. It's a given.

Run 500 rounds through it to smooth everything out. Also don't rack it by pinching the slide.
Take your weak hand. Lay the palm on the top of the slide. Press the heel of your hand into the indentations on one side and all four fingers on the other side like a vice. Grip hard.

Then push forward hard and fast with your strong hand on the grip while pulling backwards hard and fast with your weak hand.

It should rack easily. (Its one way to rack to clear a stuck case or for people with weak hands).

Plus...it looks cool. 🤠

I just acquired one. I was voluntold to start the church security team. Put in an apex barrel and apex trigger (4.5 lb pull). Like breaking glass. Almost too nice. Put a venom rds on it - my first rds!

I have the Apex Tactical 3.5 duty mod and it was a mistake, IMO. Super fast return and if not careful it will double tap.

I just don't recall my Glock being that tough. I just wondered. I can rack it ok but it seems really tough.

High capacity magazines are illegal in some jurisdictions. Are you sure you want the feds on your ass over a post? Then again maybe it's a fed informant trolling for suckers.

Since I have no experience with Glocks I couldn't tell you if one's slide is easier to rack than another.
