Ronnie says Negro! No one cares!

Harry Ried has a 96% positive rating by the NAACP.

Oh...and THAT acronym refers to black folks as COLORED PEOPLE!

Ever wonder why there's not a NAAWP?

cuz most white folks are not descendants of people who had been owned by other people here in America.

idiot

My decendants didn't have slaves. Half moved here in the 1920's and the other half were poor laborers who were basically slaves of farmers.

Not all white people have slave owning anscestors.

How do you spell hypocrite? R e p u b l i c a n

When he said the word "negro", the young female negro that had asked the question appeared somewhat uncomfortable.
I noticed that...he also hesitated over saying it, like he was been extremely careful to get it right.

So you just admitted you know very little about Harry reid.

He has a reputation of ALWAYS speaking with hesitations as if he is tryong to esure he gets it right.

That is not a criticism of him...it is simply how he speaks.

But you never knew that?

DO you even know who he is?

So with all of the laws to ensure we are treated equally...seen as equals...seen as Americans and not as Black Americans......

Do we really need to continually separate ourselves with all of those "all black organizations"?

if you don't want to "separate yourself" with a black organization, I suggest you avoid joining the NAACP. For those black folks who still feel the impact of institutionalized and culturally imbedded racism, I think we should continue to give them the option.

NAACP - National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People. You people will use the acronym NAACP but are afraid to say negro, spade, coloured, or the dreaded n*gg**, etc. out loud ? Please don't refer to free speech because you have no idea what it means.

And all it does is hold them back.

One day they will see that.

True of African Americans...not true of Americans that are black.
Many are not of African or slave descent.

Fair enough.
I have my own experiences that have allowed me to come up with my opinion.

notice that I did not say "ALL", but mere a "vast majority". Are you really going to quibble with that?

A vast majority of black Americans? No.

and yet, to most white folks, the difference is indistinquishable and thus, all colored people suffer from the discrimination that started with slaves.

the question was why there was not a NAAWP and I answered it. Do you take issue with my answer or are you content to just follow me around a pick at my posts like some obsessed fan?

And you have?

why nothing, of course. I am an android devoid of actual human experiences.

So you are a black man or woman that had the choice to agree that you were a victim of a white culture and decided to ignore that and find out that, in fact, you were anyway?

My experience was what I just saiud but when I ignored it, I excelled and sold my first company 5 years later.

Wonder where I would be if I sat there agreeing that I was a victim of a white culture and my development was stifled by my skin color.

No...actually I see you as a worthy debate opponent. ANd where it may seem I follow you around, I really dont.

And your view of white folk is different from mine.

Truth is, I have found that if there is something to be gained, nearly all folk will interact with any folk regardless of color.

I am not saying it is a great thing as I do not like tthat profit motivates people to be civil.....but it is exactly what I have found.

Reid was right.

Everybody knew that "presidential candidate" Barack Obama had an uphill battle when it came to the issue of race.

African American men are constantly tormented with various negative stereotypes.

From being labled as crimminals, liars, cheats and cowardly, to being labeled as being unfaithful and HIV ridden, African American men have taken huge blows to their image.

When Barack Obama accepted the democratic nomination, he knew he had to distance himself from those stereotypes, if he were to ever have a chance to win. This man had to stop his campaign in order to do a news conference to clarify his stance on the issue of race.

Reid in my opinion was guilty of two things...

1. Saying what everybody else was thinking
2. Using a poor choice of words to describe what everybody else was thinking

I'm with President Obama; this is just another example of how desperate the GOP leaders are. This is a nonstory.

Food for thought.
