The Halloween envelope has been pushed too far. Kids watch enough violence in their short lives to consider Halloween to be a lame old celebration that only strange and weird adults seem to enjoy.
This is why I don't like slasher films.
This is also why Harry Potter was so popular awhile back.
Look at Netflix and Disney everything is filled with violence and inappropriate content.
Halloween is about childhood memories.
