RIP John Finn Oldest Medal of Honor recipient from WWII dies

He was shipmates with my Dad and at a recent reunion the following exchange took place between my brother and John Finn.

My brother: Mr. Finn, it's such an honor to meet you

John Finn: Son, shut the hell up and get me a beer (Finn was 97 at the time of this exchange)

He's one of my best friends uncle and a true hero. They pulled 22 bullets out of him after the attack on Kanehoe Bay. I used to go to his place down off of I-8 and root through his junk yard (he was a junk man after the war). He had some stuff that "American Pickers" would die for. RIP John, you earned it!
