The date it happened on maybe the trigger for the man to act the way he did. Mental stress of the date or just plain insanity caused the murder. Getting him off the streets was the best thing and his decision to do violence caused his execution. Lets hope politicians do not exploit it to bring about war.

Yes it was a hate crime. The Chinese guy MURDERED that child. Now this all makes sense. I thought it was the Chinese executed a Japanese man for killing a Chinese boy. That would have been different. To me this is great. Execute a citizen who commits a hate crime against a person BECAUSE of their nationality.

The thread title is totally wrong. This isn't retribution. This is justice. This is a great message to send to Chinese citizens. The Chinese government will not tolerate hate crimes against people just because they aren't Chinese. This could also hurt relations with other nations like Japan.

And did you see in the article 4 Americans were murdered in China recently?

I think it's funny we can't tell them apart but they hate each other.
