There are several sides to this story. First what we read in the media. Do you trust the media? I have 2 daughters and both are adults with children and husbands. I very much want children protected. This is a case where it was a woman working for the police. I get he thought it was a child. But was she a child. Will a court of law declare the adult woman was a child? Even though clearly to him she was a child, he was in error. I believe there is or was a TV program where they trapped child molesters. But they used real children and of course prior to any meeting removed the child from danger. We would sure be better off for those who victimize children to be removed in some fashion. BTW, I do not approve child molesters at all. Never would I approve this at all.

In this case I just don't condone traps involving an adult woman faking she is a teen.

This could get the case tossed out of court.

To illustrate, suppose in a store there was an empty box labled candy and it got picked up by a girl. And she got arrested for stealing the empty box!!
