Why do you think that Desantis even wants to run for President?
Personally, I think it would be a mistake for the GOP to nominate anyone other than the Trumpster if Trump is willing to run.
It would send a signal to the D's that they are able to run off Republicans just by cranking up the lies like they did with The Donald. Whatever non-Trump candidate would be nominated would be literally crucified by the media.
The reason is simple----->we want to INSURE we win and stop the madness! What if Biden doesn't run? Do you want to put Trump up against a moderate, Democratic governor.........who really isn't moderate, just doesn't have the paper trail of the current regime?
Understand the reality------------> It isn't the governance of Trump that handicaps him, it is what the press and Leftists have done to him. I would probably more inclined to push Trump if we could insure it was Trump V Biden or Harris, but we can not. Political reality says----------->De Santis would be much easier to get elected than Trump, not because he is better, but because he has far fewer negatives that could push moderates to vote the wrong way, especially if Trumps opponent was put up as a moderate Democrat such as Joe was.
Remember-------->until the fix was put in, Joe wasn't even able to win the Democratic primary! And yet, he either beat Trump because of the Trump negatives, or it was close enough they could steal it for the same reason. The only reason today Trump is ahead in the polls, is because it is put forth that Biden would be his opposition. That is how much negativity there is around Biden, worse than Trump! But, ask yourself again----->what IF it is NOT Biden or Harris!
While we can all feel for what they did to Trump, we can NOT worry about righting political wrongs at the next ballot box because; in all honesty, we have a country to save, and we must insure to give ourselves the best, possible, chance to win!
